We are here to make sure your pet always has the things they need to live a happy and healthy life. Our pharmacy is stocked full of the products you need. We can ship your prescriptions directly to your home, or you can pick them up at the hospital.
Feeding a healthy diet and maintaining a healthy weight can increase life expectancy, quality of life, decrease the risk of many diseases (such as arthritis, diabetes, heart disease), and help manage chronic medical conditions. We carry a full line of prescription diets for your convenience and have various treats, including weight control, dental care, and hypoallergenic options, for both dogs and cats. Please call ahead to ensure we have the diet you wish to purchase. We are happy to place a special order for you!
We offer in-house, state-of-the-art laboratory, ultrasound, and diagnostic services enabling us to provide accurate laboratory results within a very short period of time. The faster we are able to diagnose your pet’s health issue, the faster we can treat it! In addition, we work with an outside lab to offer any specialized tests your pet may need.
Ultrasound is a very useful diagnostic tool that utilizes sounds waves through a specialized probe to project real-time images or videos of our patient’s organs onto a display screen. This modality allows the veterinarians to see within the organs and body cavities of our patients.
It aids in differentiating between normal and abnormal findings so that a diagnostic plan can be developed.
An X-ray (radiograph) is a noninvasive diagnostic test that aids in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Imaging with x-rays involves exposing a part of the body to a small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body. Our Digital Vet-Ray machine delivers images in seconds and offers lower exposure to radiation.
Saunders Veterinary Services provides laser therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture for your pets.
The class IV laser is a non-invasive, non-painful, inexpensive way to manage pain and inflammation. It also speeds up healing time for wound care and promotes healing at a cellular level. There are many proven benefits to laser therapy, including accelerated tissue repair, cell growth, faster wound healing, and more.
Chiropractic care is a holistic form of medicine that can be used to treat a variety of symptoms. We use proven methods to alleviate interference of the skeletal system so that the body can heal itself in a natural way.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through the skin at strategic points along pathways called meridians. It is most commonly used to treat pain but is used for other ailments such as metabolic disorders, skin disease, and mental wellbeing. Acupuncture also affects myofascial tissue, a thin saran-like wrapping that surrounds all muscles, muscle fibers, and nerves.
Chronic Disease Management
Chronic diseases are illnesses that have a long duration. But, the pet may be able to live a very happy life when managed well. Examples include heart disease, chronic kidney disease, thyroid conditions, and allergies. Our team will help address your pet’s changing needs and balancing treatments for disease symptoms and progression.
Sadly, each of us who loves and cares for a pet will one day face the illness, old age, or the passing of our beloved animal friend. It is important to have compassion and support in facing the most emotional and painful decision you will make regarding your pet. Saunders Veterinary Clinic is here to help you determine the quality of life, consider hospice care options, and provide dignified and gentle care at the end of your pet’s life.
We are Proudly
Our staff members are all trained in Fear Free techniques, which help reduce your pet’s stress level and make the visit a more positive experience.
